a special moment in the life of every young jewish girl...

being asked to play Santa by a cadre of 4-year-olds.  When I attempted to begin delivering presents, one spectacular child objected saying "santa, I'm not asleep yet."  I had taken her decision to remain standing while the other four girls immediately laid down upon a baby towel as her choice to remain either proud, jewish, or smarter than the rest of them.  Not so!  In any case, it was a fantastic time, delivering invisible presents and watching them "wake up" to find nothing, and be delighted!
